A Add-on

Additional hair wefts or pieces that can be attached to existing extensions to add more volume or length. Some salons offer add-ons as a service to build on previous extension installations.

B Balayage

A French word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint." In hair extensions, balayage refers to a hand-painted highlighting technique that creates a natural, sun-kissed look. Extensions with balayage colouring blend seamlessly with naturally highlighted hair.

C Clip-in Extensions

Temporary hair extensions that attach to natural hair using small clips. They can be put in and removed by the wearer without professional help. Unlike halo extensions, clip-ins require sectioning and clipping to different parts of the head.

H Halo Extensions

Also known as halo wefts or wire extensions. These feature a single weft of hair attached to a thin, transparent wire that sits around the head like a headband. The wire is invisible and the extension is held in place by your own hair falling over it. Our Signature SYN Halo extensions are a premium example of this type.

K Kanekalon

A premium Japanese synthetic fibre used in high-quality hair extensions. Kanekalon is known for its natural feel, heat resistance up to 180°C, and excellent blending properties. It mimics the texture and movement of human hair while being more affordable and easier to maintain than Remy human hair.

R Remy Hair

The highest quality human hair used in extensions. Remy hair maintains the cuticle direction (all cuticles face the same way), which prevents tangling and creates a smooth, natural look. The cuticles are kept intact rather than stripped, unlike non-Remy hair.

S Sew-in Extensions

A semi-permanent extension method where hair wefts are sewn into braids using a needle and thread. The braids provide a secure base for the wefts to be attached. This method typically lasts 2-4 months but requires professional application and removal.

T Tape-in Extensions

Semi-permanent extensions that use adhesive tape to attach wefts to natural hair. The tapes are applied near the roots and typically last 4-8 weeks before needing to be moved up or replaced. Heat-activated tape versions provide stronger hold.

V Virgin Hair

Unprocessed human hair that has never been chemically treated (dyed, bleached, or permed). Virgin hair is considered the highest quality human hair available and can be dyed or styled just like your own natural hair.

W Weft

A continuous track of hair where individual strands are sewn together at the top. Wefts can be hand-tied, machine-made, or feature seam加固. The width and length of the weft determines how much coverage and volume the extension provides. Halo extensions typically use a single wide weft.
